New Game+

Privacy

New Game+ has no accounts, no ads and no analytics. Here is everything it keeps, and where your browser goes.

Last updated October 7, 2026.

In your browser

“Played it”, “Not for me”, your Game Pass, PS Plus and Apple Arcade plans, an imported Steam library and your light or dark theme are kept in your browser’s local storage. They never leave your device except as part of a request for recommendations, and clearing this site’s data removes them.

One cookie, ngp_subs, holds your subscription plans (for example “Game Pass Ultimate”) so the first page you load already shows the right prices. It is set only when you turn a subscription on, and removed when you turn it off. There are no tracking or advertising cookies.

Your picks and filters are in the page address, so a link you share shows the same results.

On our server

Steam import happens only when you ask for it. We ask Steam for your public game list, send it back to your browser and don’t store it. Your Steam profile and “Game details” must be public for Steam to share it.

Abuse limits. To stop scripts from overloading the site, we count requests per visitor in one-minute windows, keyed by a salted one-way hash of your IP address, never the address itself. Most counters live only in the server’s memory; the ones for screenshot lookups and Steam imports are kept in our database and deleted after about a day.

Hosting. The site runs on Vercel, and its database on Neon. Like any web host, Vercel keeps short-lived request logs (which include IP addresses) to run and protect the service.

Other sites your browser talks to

Game covers and screenshots load directly from IGDB’s and Steam’s image servers, so those servers see your IP address, as with any image on the web. Trailers load from youtube-nocookie.com only after you press “Play trailer”. Store and price links take you to that store or to IsThereAnyDeal, under their own privacy policies.
